About the role
This a fantastic opportunity to join the Direct Sales team here at Bauer Media. You will be required to generate new clients and revenue. The team is made up of 18, including Account Managers and Campaign Managers. You will report directly in to the Group Business Director whilst working within a smaller group on the lifestyle section. You will also work closely with brand managers for each magazine you represent as well as other stakeholders in the business across digital, research, creative and more, to ensure the best responses for our clients.

You will be instrumental in driving new revenue into the business and growing the portfolio of clients that we currently work with.

The role is office based.


Duties

  • Working within the Direct Sales team, you will be calling clients in Sydney/NSW to sell advertising solutions across print and digital.
  • Business development, sourcing new clients to advertise across our lifestyle and entertainment titles including Australian Women’s Weekly, Good Health, OK, Woman’s Day and more.
  • Working with our internal brands team to develop great advertising packages for our clients.
  • Lead sourcing from a variety of channels. Must be proactive and resourceful when looking for new partners.
  • Maintain competitor awareness and market share

 

Skills and experience

  • A University degree is desired but not essential
  • 2 years minimum sales experience required, selling B2B.  
  • Media sales would be an advantage, with a strong passion for advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great influencing and negotiation skills
  • Have a love for magazine brands and want to develop a career within the industry
